Our Journey
Ngā Tini Ao was created out of a desire to address the declining numbers of knowledgeable kaumātua within our communities. During hui, concerns arose about preserving and passing on vital knowledge including te reo Māori me ōna tikanga me te kawa o te marae. The call from whānau was clear: to create a safe space for learning whaikōrero, karanga and waiata, ensuring the full spectrum of tikanga me te kawa o te marae is accessible.
